Reagan vs. Obama on Iran
Many Republicans and other conservatives have come out saying President Obama has been too weak on the crisis in Iran. Obama’s supporters have said the President is wisely walking a thin line between showing support for the protestors against the government of Iran and potentially hurting relations vs. siding with the current government against the protesters. President Ronald Reagan was faced with an eerily similar circumstance in 1981 during his first year in office. President Obama would be wise to take a lesson from his predecessor. There is a vast difference between the character of President Reagan and the character of President Obama as highlighted in the difference in which these men handle similar crises.
